5-for-5 Game for Hale
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for Chip Hale as he led the charge to a 10-3 win over the Sounds. The Omaha second baseman was pure misery for the Nashville pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Hale put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Sounds, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Chip Hale singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
Hale is hitting .381 for the season with 3 home runs, 24 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 53 hits in 139 at-bats and played in 35 games.
