Tacoma designated hitter Micah Franklin had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 3-2, to Spokane at Foxes Ballpark. Franklin was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Scott Eyre, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 2 runs on 12 hits in 7 innings. Spokane, at 23-16, sits in second place in the Pacific West.
With one out in the bottom of the fifth, Andy Fox hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 37th hit of the season and with it the River Rats took a 3-2 lead.
