Warriors Win at Salt Lake City, 7-2
|
The Walla Walla Warriors got a stellar performance from pitcher Gene Nelson, who handcuffed the Salt Lake City offense en route to a 7-2 win at Bella Vista Grounds. The Warriors sit in 4th place in the Pacific West with a record of 20-21.
An impactful at-bat came in the top of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Bobby Rose, hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-2, Walla Walla, and helped them go on to win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Walla Walla manager . "Our pregame was pretty good."
