Brass Need Extra Frames to Get Past Sky Fox
|
The New Orleans Brass knocked off the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 6-3. New Orleans starter Brian Holman pitched well enough to earn top player honors. Holman went the distance for New Orleans. He gave up 3 earned runs on 7 hits. New Orleans has an impressive 31-13 record.
Jeff Branson had a nice at-bat for the Brass with no one out in the top of the tenth. With the bases loaded, the third baseman hit a sacrifice fly, which would prove important in the New Orleans win.
"We take it day by day here," said Branson, "and today was a good one for us."
