McCarty hits 2 home runs, Tarantulas Move to 28-16
The Tucson Tarantulas dealt the Tacoma Rainiers a 10-4 loss at Premont Grounds. Dave McCarty was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Bob Wolcott picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-1. He struck out 2 in 5.2 innings. The Tarantulas have an impressive 28-16 record.

Momentum swung to the Tarantulas in the top of the third, when McCarty, who is tied for 10th in the PAC with a .337 batting average, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Tarantulas into the lead, 5-1.
