Tarantulas Drop Missions with Late Score
The Tucson Tarantulas overcame a good performance by San Antonio center fielder Eric Owens to knock off San Antonio , 11-7, at Texans Stadium. Owens went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win was Hector Carrasco's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Randy Niemann took the loss for San Antonio . Tucson is now 21-23, San Antonio 28-16.

An important at-bat for the Tarantulas came in the top of the ninth, when shortstop Alex S Gonzalez stroked a run-scoring double. That made the score 8-7 in favor of Tucson. For the day, Gonzalez went 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Tucson skipper .
