Brass Beat Visiting Storm Chasers, 7-2
|
New Orleans Brass starter Mike Dunne pitched effectively against the Omaha Storm Chasers at Bay Hawks Ballpark. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 7-2 win. New Orleans leads the Pacific Central by 2½ games.
Cecil Espy, who is tied for 3rd in the PAC in stolen bases with 10, aided the New Orleans cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said New Orleans manager .
