Rainiers Get Road Win, 4-1
|
Tacoma pitcher Brad Rigby did his part in helping his team beat the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Their 18-28 record puts the Rainiers last in the Pacific West.
Tacoma used the clutch hitting of Jose Guillen to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to give the Rainiers the lead, 1-0. For the game, Guillen had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Rigby said.
