Victory Over Chukars Takes Tucson to 30-18
|
The Tucson Tarantulas beat the Idaho Falls Chukars, 13-5, at Alleycats Ballpark. Geronimo Berroa was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He was 1-2 with 4 walks. He scored 3 times. The 32-year old left fielder was a menace to Idaho Falls all day. The current losing streak for Idaho Falls has reached 4 games.
It could have been a different outcome for Tucson, had it not been for Ralph Milliard, the slick-fielding second baseman . Milliard contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Tucson up, 7-5.
"We take it day by day here," said Milliard, "and today was a good one for us."
