Tarantulas Roll to 8-1 Win Over Chukars

The Tucson Tarantulas beat the Idaho Falls Chukars, 8-1, at Alleycats Ballpark. Jorge Fabregas was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The 27-year old catcher was a menace to Idaho Falls all day. Idaho Falls now has a 5-game losing streak.
Tucson used the timely hitting of Hanley Frias to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Tarantulas on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Tarantulas manager , "I like our chances."
