Victory Over Sky Fox Takes Omaha to 34-15
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers knocked off the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 10-5, at Motors Ballpark. Phil B. Clark, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Omaha won. The right fielder was 2-6 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Bill Wegman picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-3. He struck out 3 in 7 innings. Omaha has an impressive 34-15 record.
Clark put Omaha up, 6-5, when he hit a 3-run home run off Jeff Tabaka in the top of the seventh. His 13th home run of the season helped the Storm Chasers capture the win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Clark told reporters after the game.
