Sky Fox Suffer 14-1 Drubbing

The Omaha Storm Chasers easily defeated the Colorado Springs Sky Fox, 14-1, at Motors Ballpark, with right fielder Jack Voigt a main contributor to the win. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 6 for Omaha. Clint Zavaras picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed no earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 7-3. The last-place Sky Fox have dropped 4 straight games.
In the top of the fifth, Omaha left fielder David Justice had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, Justice stroked a 3-run home run to right. It made the score 3-0, Omaha. For the game, he was 1 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
