Royals Walk It Off for 13th Win of Season
The Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago Cubs, 7-6 at Royals Stadium, in part due to right fielder Richard Hidalgo, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Losses have been few and far between for the Cubs so far this season. Their record drops to 15-8.

The Royals used some clutch hitting to beat the Cubs, a good example being the at-bat of Ray Lankford in the bottom of the tenth. With two down, Lankford gave his team the lead, 7-6, when he hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Chicago manager Anthony Perez.
