Warriors Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Tarantulas
The Walla Walla Warriors defeated the Tucson Tarantulas, 6-4, in Pacific action at Ballpark of Milton, with Walla Walla pitcher Kirk McCaskill named player of the game. Curt Leskanic got the save, the 3rd for him this season. The Warriors go to 24-24, putting them third in the Pacific West.

The Warriors got a big at-bat from right fielder Allen Battle. For the game, Battle went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 38th hit of the season gave Walla Walla a 4-2 lead.

Battle called the triumph "a good team win."
