Storm Chasers Prove Rude Guests, Win 6-3 at San Antonio
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers topped the San Antonio Missions, 6-3, in Pacific action at Texans Stadium. The player of the game was Omaha designated hitter Javier Valentin. Calvin Maduro picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 3-6. Even with the win, the Storm Chasers have a dismal 15-38 record.
Valentin's nice game included a clutch run-scoring double in the top of the first.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Valentin told the Omaha Observer.
