Espy goes 4-for-5, Brass Move to 32-21
|
The New Orleans Brass downed the Tucson Tarantulas, 14-7, at Ballpark of Louisville. Cecil Espy led the way, going 4-for-5 for New Orleans. New Orleans reliever Jose Paniagua was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Sean Bergman took the loss. New Orleans is now 32-21, 4 games up in the Pacific Central.
New Orleans took a 12-7 lead on Espy's 11th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Calvin Schiraldi in the top of the sixth, propelled New Orleans to the win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Espy said, "and we're having fun right now."
