Sierra, Brass Hammer Sky Fox
|
Ruben Sierra led New Orleans to a win over Colorado Springs. The final score was 17-2. Sierra collected 4 RBI, while going 4 for 5 at the plate. The left fielder also scored 4 times. Mike Dunne got credit for the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits in 7 innings. New Orleans leads the Pacific Central by 3½ games.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Bay Hawks Ballpark seemed to enjoy watching the Pacific action.
"They took us to the woodshed," said Colorado Springs manager .
