The San Antonio Missions overcame a good performance by Spokane third baseman Jose Lind to knock off Spokane, 12-9, at Foxes Ballpark. Lind was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI. San Antonio is now 30-26, while Spokane is 35-21.

Bill Doran produced at a critical juncture for San Antonio . It happened in the top of the eighth with Don August on the mound and San Antonio leading 7-6. That's when the 39-year old first baseman Doran hit a run-scoring single.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Doran told the San Antonio Chronicle. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
