Rainiers Prevail, 3-1, Over Idaho Falls
|
Tacoma pitcher Brian Rose did his part in helping his team beat the Idaho Falls Chukars, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Rose surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Getting the save was Tavo Alvarez, his 5th.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when center fielder Daryl Boston, who is tied for 8th in the PAC in bases on balls with 23, hit a single. The Rainiers went on to win.
"We put together a nice win," Rose said.
Tacoma occupies last place in the Pacific West at 22-33.
