The rain came, as predicted, but the Spokane River Rats and Omaha Storm Chasers were able to complete their ballgame.

Spokane starter Larry Luebbers pitched effectively against the Omaha Storm Chasers at Foxes Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. Luebbers got the win, improving to 2-8. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Luebbers allowed 2 earned runs. Curt Schmidt earned save number 1.

The River Rats picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Luebbers.

Spokane is now 22-33, Omaha 39-16.
