Nashville and Tucson duked it out at Ballpark of Louisville and the Sounds came out victorious.
The Tucson Tarantulas got a superb performance from center fielder Ray McDavid, but the Nashville Sounds still won the game, 6-5. McDavid was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Nashville reliever Dario Veras was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Jeff Shaw took the loss for Tucson.
Adam Riggs came through for Nashville when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the eighth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-2 slider to center field, staking his team to a 6-5 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Nashville manager .
The second-place Tarantulas have dropped 4 straight games.
