Brass Come Back Late to Top Rainiers
|
New Orleans Brass starter Trevor Wilson was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Tacoma Rainiers, 7-3. Luis Aquino converted his 8th save in 10 tries. New Orleans is now 35-23, 3½ games up in the Pacific Central.
Scott Brosius's at-bat in the top of the eighth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 1-1. The New Orleans third baseman hit a bases-clearing double off Tavo Alvarez to put the Brass up.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Brosius told reporters after the game.
