The Seattle Pilots eked out a 4-3 win versus the Colorado Rockies at Kingdome. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris Haney, who captured player of the game honors. Seattle is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 9th in 23 games.

Ken Griffey Jr. put Seattle in front, 4-1, when he took Bill Wegman downtown. His 2-run home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 7th home run of the season.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Griffey Jr. said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
