Dodgers Top Giants in Extras
|
Los Angeles Dodgers starter Matt Young turned in a top-notch performance against the San Francisco Giants at Candlestick Park. The result was a win for the Dodgers, 5-2. Los Angeles reliever Allan Anderson picked up the win to move to 1-0. Mark Dewey suffered the loss. The Giants drop to 11-12 and continue their inconsistent start to the 1994 season.
Los Angeles took a 3-2 lead on Ryan Klesko's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Klesko hit in the top of the 14th, left San Francisco pitcher Andy Rincon shaking his head.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Young.
