Rohrmeier Delivers Walk-Off Win for Sky Fox
|
The Colorado Springs Sky Fox saddled the Nashville Sounds with a loss at Motors Ballpark. The final score was 4-3. Bruce Aven, named player of the game, was 3 for 4, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Colorado Springs left fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Colorado Springs goes to 21-36, Nashville to 31-26.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Dan Rohrmeier came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Nashville pitcher Chad Fox, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a solo home run. It was a game-changer, putting Colorado Springs on top, 4-3.
