Lazy Fisherman Double Up New Orleans, 6-3
|
The Naperville Lazy Fisherman topped the New Orleans Brass, 6-3, in Pacific action at Bay Hawks Ballpark. The player of the game was Naperville pitcher and Bridgeport, Connecticut native Charles Nagy. After today's action, Naperville sits at 33-29, while New Orleans falls to 36-26.
Naperville used the clutch hitting of Jeffrey Hammonds to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to give the Lazy Fisherman the lead, 5-0. For the game, Hammonds had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Hammonds said.
