River Rats Score Late to Upend Storm Chasers, 8-6
Spokane right fielder Chris Latham made his presence felt in the 8-6 River Rats triumph over the Omaha Storm Chasers. Latham was 2-4 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ricky Trlicek picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Matt Turner was tagged with the loss. Matt Whisenant earned the save for Spokane, his 13th of the year.

Spokane took the lead in the bottom of the eighth when Latham hit a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season made the score 8-6, Spokane.

"We came out aggressive," said River Rats manager . "We came out swinging the bats."

Spokane is now 39-23, 4½ games up in the Pacific West.
