Buzz Need Extra Frames to Get Past Chukars
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz trumped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 7-5, at Alleycats Ballpark. Salt Lake City first baseman Dave Staton was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The Chukars, now 29-32, have lost 7 straight.
Staton had a game-changing single in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 curveball from Ralph Citarella, he banged a 2-run single to left, giving the Buzz a 7-5 lead. It was the 63rd hit of the year for Staton.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Salt Lake City manager .
