Tarantulas Win at New Orleans, 7-3
|
The New Orleans Brass and Tucson Tarantulas cranked it up at Bay Hawks Ballpark.
A 3-RBI performance from Tony Clark, who is tied for 2nd in the PAC with a .611 slugging percentage, helped the Tucson Tarantulas beat the New Orleans Brass, 7-3. Rick Krivda went 7.2 innings for Tucson to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 3 earned runs. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. His record improves to 5-2.
The Tarantulas benefited from a costly error in the top of the seventh. With Tim Costo at bat and Tucson leading 3-2, the New Orleans miscue allowed Tucson to plate 1 and take the lead, 4-2.
"We take it day by day here," said Clark, "and today was a good one for us."
Tucson has now won 3 in a row.
