Tarantulas Get Road Win, 7-2
|
The Tucson Tarantulas defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers, 7-2, at Maples Stadium. Tucson third baseman Dave Magadan was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Tarantulas go to 36-27, putting them second in the Pacific West.
In the top of the fifth, second baseman Ralph Milliard hit a run-scoring double to left-center. The double, which was hit off of Mark Leiter, gave Tucson a 2-1 lead.
"Enjoyed this one," Magadan told the Tucson Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
