Big Day by Johnson Ignites Buzz Win
|
Brian Johnson had a 4-RBI game, during Salt Lake City's 8-6 triumph over the Spokane. Johnson contributed 3 singles and 1 home run to the cause. Tim Pugh picked up the save for Salt Lake City, his 3rd of the year. At 36-29, the Buzz are currently 4th in the Pacific West.
Johnson came through with some timely hitting for Salt Lake City. With the score 5-2 in the bottom of the seventh and no one down, Johnson hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season made it 7-2, Salt Lake City.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Johnson told the Salt Lake City Observer.
