Express Come Back Late to Clip Rainiers
|
The Round Rock Express beat the Tacoma Rainiers, 6-5, at Alleycats Ballpark. Round Rock left fielder Les Norman earned player of the game honors. He collected 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Express.
Andy Tomberlin was the walk-off hero for Round Rock. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Express designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We played hard and won," said Norman. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
