The Omaha Storm Chasers beat the New Orleans Brass, 8-6, at Maples Stadium. Omaha left fielder David Justice earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Tom Rowe went 7 innings for Omaha to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 4 earned runs. He scattered 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record improves to 6-3. The Storm Chasers improved to a lofty 49-18.

Justice had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch changeup from Matt Whiteside, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Storm Chasers a 6-3 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Justice.
