The 1995 season is getting ugly for Salt Lake City.

Behind a solid performance from first baseman Larry Sheets, the Spokane River Rats defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 14-3. Sheets went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the River Rats. Salt Lake City has now lost 4 straight.

Sheets put Spokane up, 8-0, when he hit a grand slam home run off Tim Pugh in the bottom of the second. His 16th home run of the season helped the River Rats capture the win.

"If it's down the middle," said Sheets, "you might as well hit it."
