Ochoa Sensational, 5-for-8
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the San Antonio 's 10-8 win over Salt Lake City today, left fielder Alex Ochoa was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Bella Vista Grounds.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Ochoa said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Alex Ochoa doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
In 26 games this year Ochoa has posted a .364 average and put up these numbers: no home runs, 16 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
