Missions Trip Chukars in Extras
|
The San Antonio Missions defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars, 7-2, at Alleycats Ballpark today. Leading the charge for San Antonio was shortstop Scott Livingstone. He went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. San Antonio 's record now stands at 40-30, placing them second in the Pacific Central.
San Antonio used the timely hitting of Kelly Stinnett to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Missions on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame comments, Livingstone said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
