Win Streak Now at 8 for Storm Chasers

The Storm Chasers faced a stiff challenge from Tacoma pitcher Mike Trombley, but persevered to claim a win at Maples Stadium. The final score was 5-3. Trombley went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Omaha reliever Mike Bovee picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Carlos Reyes shouldered the loss. The save went to Tony J. Castillo, his 13th this season.
Omaha took a 4-2 lead on Matt Mieske's 2nd triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Mieske hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tacoma pitcher Carlos Reyes visibly frustrated.
"I believe in our guys," said Omaha skipper . "I like the energy they're playing with."
The wins continue to add up for Omaha, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
