River Rats Fall Short, 4-3, at Tacoma
The Tacoma Rainiers eked out a 4-3 win versus the Spokane River Rats at Premont Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Brian Rose, who captured player of the game honors. The Rainiers saw their win-loss record go to 27-47. At the same time, the River Rats fell to 45-29.

Doing his part for Tacoma was center fielder Daryl Boston, who stroked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, Boston went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

Spokane manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
