The Washington Senators trumped the New York Mets, 4-2, at Shea Stadium. Washington right fielder Al L. Martin was named player of the game for his performance. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Senators, now 15-8, have been playing some good baseball.
