River Rats Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Spokane River Rats grabbed a 7-6 win over the Naperville Lazy Fisherman at Foxes Ballpark. Spokane right fielder Michael Tucker was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. Spokane reliever Matt Whisenant got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Cory Bailey was tagged with the loss. Spokane leads the Pacific West by 4 games.

With two out in the bottom of the tenth, Gene Kingsale hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 88th hit of the season and with it the River Rats took a 7-6 lead.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant , the Spokane skipper.
