Sky Fox Get Close Win Over Brass
|
Despite a great performance by New Orleans center fielder Darren Reed, the Colorado Springs Sky Fox defeated the Brass by the score of 12-10 at Bay Hawks Ballpark. Reed was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win was credited to Calvin Jones in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Gar Finnvold took the loss. Even with the win, the Sky Fox have a dismal 25-51 record.
The Sky Fox extended their lead in the top of the ninth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Steve Pegues hit a 2-run double to make it 11-10, Colorado Springs.
Pegues called the triumph "a good team win."
