Gibralter Helps New Orleans Cruise to 13-3 Win
|
It was a good time at Bay Hawks Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Colorado Springs Sky Fox and New Orleans Brass get after it.
Steve Gibralter made an impact in the 13-3 New Orleans win over Colorado Springs. Gibralter went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Vaughn Eshelman got the win, improving to 7-3. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 0.
Mike R. Fitzgerald aided the New Orleans cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"We got our butts kicked," said Colorado Springs manager .
The Brass own a robust 51-26 mark.
