Marlins Win at Montreal, 4-2
|
The Florida Marlins topped the Montreal Expos, 4-2, in United League action at Olympic Stadium. The player of the game was Florida pitcher and Austin, Texas native Pete Schourek. The Expos fall to 11-12 and continue their uneasy start to the 1994 season.
In the top of the fifth, the Marlins took a 3-0 lead when Bill Haselman hit a 2-run home run.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Florida manager Matthew Lazear.
