Trachsel Goes Distance in 6-2 Win
|
The Detroit Tigers knocked off the Baltimore Orioles, 6-2. Detroit starter Steve Trachsel pitched well enough to earn top player honors. The Tigers, with just their 8th win so far in 1997, have yet to catch fire.
Trachsel allowed 2 earned runs on 3 hits over 9 innings for the Tigers. He walked 1 and struck out 3.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Trachsel.
