Victory Over Tarantulas Takes San Antonio to 46-30
|
The San Antonio Missions got a good effort from starter Les Lancaster in defeating the Tucson Tarantulas at Ballpark of Louisville. The final score was 5-2. The winning pitcher was Lancaster, now 9-2. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Jeff Shaw converted his 13th save in 16 tries.
David Hulse was 2-4 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for San Antonio . In a tie game with no one out in the top of the sixth, Hulse came through with a run-scoring single. It put the Missions in front, 2-1.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said San Antonio manager .
San Antonio bumps their record to 46-30 with the win.
