The Colorado Springs Sky Fox knocked off the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-2, at Bella Vista Grounds. Steve Pegues, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Colorado Springs won. The right fielder went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. Colorado Springs is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Pegues came through with some timely hitting for Colorado Springs. With the score 2-2 in the top of the fifth and two down, Pegues hit a 1-0 curveball for a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season made it 4-2, Colorado Springs.
"If it's down the middle," said Pegues, "you might as well hit it."
