A 4-RBI performance from second baseman Jose Vidro, the 16th overall pick in the 1996 draft, led the New Orleans Brass to a 7-1 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers. New Orleans goes to 47-32. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.

With New Orleans leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Vidro hit a changeup from Geremi Gonzalez for a 2-run double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Brass ahead, 4-1.

Vidro told a New Orleans Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
