Perez Goes Off, But Sounds Win
|
Nashville withstood an impressive performance by Omaha left fielder Eduardo Perez to defeat the Storm Chasers, 10-8, at Red Devils Stadium. Perez was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Chad Fox earned his 12th save in 16 chances. Nashville is now 40-41, while Omaha is 31-50.
Adam Riggs hit a bases-clearing double off Mike Cather in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Sounds in front, 10-7. In addition to the double, Riggs had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Nashville manager .
