Tarantulas Walk It Off for 45th Win of Season
|
The Tucson Tarantulas topped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 2-1, in Pacific action at Ballpark of Louisville. The player of the game was Tucson pitcher Bob Wolcott. Tucson reliever Keith Foulke was the winner. His record is now 2-4. Ralph Citarella took the loss. Idaho Falls, at 34-47, has lost 4 straight.
Todd Dunn was the walk-off hero for Tucson. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tarantulas left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Dunn.
