Spirited fans at Foxes Ballpark greeted the Spokane River Rats for their clash with the New Orleans Brass.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder Steve Gibralter, the New Orleans Brass defeated the Spokane River Rats, 12-7. Gibralter went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Brass. The Brass own a robust 56-27 mark.

New Orleans took a 10-7 lead on Manuel Lee's 35th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Lee hit in the top of the seventh, left Spokane pitcher Chris Eddy shaking his head.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Gibralter told the New Orleans Herald. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
