The Spokane River Rats eked out a 6-5 win versus the Nashville Sounds at Red Devils Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Reid Cornelius, who captured player of the game honors. Spokane is 4th in the Pacific West with a record of 37-48.

The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Spokane shortstop Steve Rodriguez. In the top of the tenth inning, with two out and a runner on 1st, Rodriguez drew a walk to help Spokane seize the win.

"We found a way to get it done," Rodriguez said.
