The New Orleans Brass beat the Tucson Tarantulas, 13-4, at Bay Hawks Ballpark. New Orleans left fielder Ruben Sierra earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. At 51-35, the Brass have a slim two-game lead in the Pacific Central.
New Orleans grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Scott Brosius delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 5-4 in favor of the Brass.
"It was a solid team effort," said Brosius after the game.
