Sounds Get Road Win, 5-1

The Sounds grabbed a win, 5-1, at Foxes Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Spokane pitcher Rick Helling. Helling went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Esteban Loaiza went 6.1 innings for Nashville to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with no earned runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. His record improves to 6-7. At 42-43, the Sounds find themselves in third place in the Pacific Central.
Nashville used the clutch hitting of Eli Marrero to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Sounds the lead, 3-0. For the game, Marrero had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.
